Dear Parents and Whanau
As you all are aware from Friday 3rd December 2021 New Zealand will move to the new traffic light system. At this stage Auckland’s traffic light will be at Red.
This means that all children are welcome to return to the Centre. The Centre will be open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday but the Ministry of Education and Health recommends that when the traffic light is at Red, parents and caregivers who can supervise their children at home should do so.
Our Pandemic Policy remains active and will deactivate it as soon as traffic light is at Green.
Please follow our safety procedures which include:
· Scanning the QR code when you come to the Centre. This includes dropping off & picking up your child.
· Adults should wear a mask when dropping off and / or picking up their children from the Centre.
· Use the hand sanitisers provided before entering Centre.
· Please enter one at a time and please keep a 2 meter distance at the sign in / sign out area.
· Please stay home if you or your child are sick.
Public Health officials have advised that children under the age of 6 should not wear face coverings and children do not need to wear face coverings at early learning centers. Other public health control measures are in place including children and staff staying home if they are sick, contact tracing, and hygiene requirements.
We’re continuing contact tracing by having QR code posters at our entrances, so please check in every time you come onsite.
You can be rest assured we’ll continue doing everything we can to keep all the children safe and with all these measures in place, public health has confirmed the risk of infection remains low when at an early learning service.
If you have any questions about our health and safety plan, please contact the Centre Manger Victoria Isa’ako on 256 9695 or 027 627 2687 with any questions you might have. If you prefer, you can also send an email to mangere@littlemascots.co.nz.
Thank you
Team at Little Mascots
